Curry Palace – visit a family restaurant with top notch Indian cuisine

From the name itself, curry lovers may have already guessed the cuisine, however, to the rest of you we dedicate this article describing a family restaurant named Curry Palace, which can be found a couple of steps away from Letná park.

The menu of Curry Palace mainly consists of Indian dishes, such as various types of popular tikka, shashlik, madras or curry, which is in the name. In addition, customers will also find several types of Bangladesh korma meals. Together, they create a menu with dozens of tasty dishes.

After entering Curry Palace, customers will be sucked in by a friendly atmosphere. What’s more, the combination of red-yellow walls, abstract paintings, lots of flowers and wooden furniture, the interior strongly gives off a feeling of Indian vibes.

For every Indian cuisine lover as well as people wanting to try out Indian cuisine for the first time, Curry Palace is a restaurant which should be on a must-visit list.

We decided to go there for the first time based on very positive recommendations on the internet and we were definitely and thoroughly satisfied. The interior was very neat, and the atmosphere felt comfortable. Meals were definitely top notch, I suggest you trying out tikka masala or my friend’s chicken vindaloo. I also really liked the professional personnel, even though they couldn’t speak Czech very well, they were humble and friendly.

Before you visit the restaurant, first take a look at the menu of Curry Palace.

Indian Chinese cuisine is a combination of Chinese seasoning and cooking techniques and Indian tastes. The food is often flavored with spices such as cumin, coriander seeds and turmeric, which don’t really have anything in common with Chinese cuisine. Hot chilli, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, dry red chilis, black pepper corns and yogurt are also frequently used in dishes. Because of that, the food often tastes similar to Southeast Asian countries.

As for the main dishes, they are for example Chow mein (noodles with vegetables, scrambled eggs, ginger and garlic, soy sauce…), Chop suey (Crispy Noodles with a variety of vegetables, meat and sauces), Manchurian (a variety of meats or paneer with vegetables in a spicy brown sauce) and many more.

There are also a couple of desert options such as an ice cream on honey-fried noodles or “date“ pancakes.
